2026 School Break Classes

Registrations are open for February 2026 classes!

The Museum of innovation and Science (miSci) is hosting STEAM classes for National Engineering Week between Monday, February 16 and Friday, February 20. Each session for National Engineering Week classes hosts a unique hands-on science activity- Morning sessions also include exploration of the Museum galleries, and afternoon sessions include a unique planetarium show each day!

Classes are available as morning (9am – 12pm) or afternoon (1pm – 4pm) sessions. Extended care (8am drop-off or 5pm pick-up) is available for an additional charge.

Break Class prices:
Morning Sessions: $39
Afternoon Sessions: $35
Extended Care Charge: $10 for early drop-off / $10 for late pick-up.

National Engineering Week – Monday
Monday, February 16
This break week starts off running- Monday’s morning students get creative with a design challenge and afternoon students get prehistoric exploring dinosaur digestion!

National Engineering Week – Tuesday
Monday, February 17
Break week Tuesday keeps the science fun going- Morning students tempt gravity as they build a safe lander for their astronauts, and afternoon students hunt for crystals in a geologic geode adventure!

National Engineering Week – Wednesday
Monday, February 18
Wednesday and break week is halfway over- this morning students design and test simple helicopters and whirligigs in a falling flight challenge, and our afternoon students welcome guests from Via Aquarium and see some crazy animals!

National Engineering Week – Thursday
Monday, February 19
For this break week Thursday our morning students do some structural engineering and reach for the ceiling with card towers, and during the afternoon our students dip into chemistry with slime science!

National Engineering Week – Friday
Monday, February 20
Break week is nearly over, but the last day is going to be a breeze- Morning students build wind-powered vehicles and afternoon students shoot for the sky with airplane launchers!
