✨Have you recently recognized some of the constellations from their names in the horoscope pages? First and foremost: astrology is NOT astronomy; astronomy is the scientific study of the stars. But over 4,000 years ago, observers in Babylon noticed the unique path of the Sun across the sky. With the Sun being so important, they elevated the status and significance of the stars behind the Sun’s path. This gave us the Zodiac constellations! Watching the night sky in wonder is universal—and even more so when people begin to interpret the sky in different ways.

The Museum is open from 11 am to 5 pm this weekend and we are now open throughout the week (except Mondays). We hope to see you!

Dr. Ernest F. Fullam, a microscopy scientist, is shown here operating the Electron Microscope at the GE Research Laboratory. One of the first of it's kind, this microscope could magnify up to 24,000 times. Fullam used it for research in relation to the Manhattan Project.
