More than 400 local students have participated in More than 400 local students have participated in multiple hands-on Engineering Discovery activities this year!

These students in Ballston Spa were designing the best Moon landing craft they could- with limited materials. Engineers from GE were there to help the students out and let them know about their real-world engineering jobs.

There's even more to come next school year- keep your eyes open for our next round of Engineering Discovery programs coming to local schools in the fall!

These programs are supported by the GE Aerospace Foundation!

Astronauts are heading back to the Moon! Artemis Astronauts are heading back to the Moon!

Artemis II had a successful launch yesterday, and right now the astronauts are building up speed in Earth's orbit. From launch to flying past the moon, they'll need to speed up their spaceship by almost 30,000 miles an hour- and it will still take days to get there! (Gravity is hard to fight!)

Keep an eye out for more space news this week- this the furthest from Earth astronauts have been for more than fifty years!

The name “Pink moon” comes from spreading Phlox, a flower that can cover the early spring ground in pink. Let it serve as a reminder to notice all the colors of Spring as they emerge!

This nickname has its roots in North America, where ground phlox is common, but the Sprouting Grass Moon, the Egg Moon, and the Fish Moon are among other springy nicknames given to the moon this month!
