Tonight's the night!

The Perseids meteor shower is one of the most reliable shooting star shows that we get- this year it lasts from 7/17-8/24, but tonight is the PEAK!

In perfect viewing skies 50-100 shooting stars are visible the night the Perseids peak- and with the new moon tonight the darker skies should be great for viewing even faint meteors.

There are meteor shower events happening around the Capital Region, but if you can't make it to one just get to the darkest sky you can find, give your eyes a few minutes to adjust, and look up! 💫👀
