Origami is the ancient Japanese art of paper folding, which also has contributed to innovation and engineering advancements in a variety of technical fields. Learn about the origin of Origami, technical applications of origami in recent years and experience making an easy and fun Origami creation to take home! Origami paper and templates will be available for purchase in the gift shop. Tickets can be purchased at the front desk.

Crystals: Fast and Slow
Join us to see one of the coolest solutions you can make with baking soda. Learn about solutions, super-saturation and how crystals form. Join us as we discover a secret ingredient left behind after the classic baking soda volcano experiment and use the remains of the fake lava to make hot Ice! Participants will also take-home kits to grow their own crystals.

Catapults
In honor of our newest exhibit: Leonardo da Vinci: Machines in Motion, this workshop will be about using simple machines to launch things! What can you get if you combine a spring and a lever? A catapult! Join us in learning a bit about engineering as we build miniature catapults and send small objects flying!
