🌕 Full Moon 5/12 ✨During these bright, Full 🌕 Full Moon 5/12

✨During these bright, Full Moon nights, looking for the brightest stars can help you find your way around the sky! And as one of the easiest constellations to spot, the Big Dipper can assist in finding certain stars. This is the season that the Dipper is highest in the sky, so look straight up to find seven bright spots that form it's big spoon shape. It's "handle" will lead you to bright star Arcturus! This is the brightest star in the northern celestial hemisphere, and classified as a red giant star, it will have a red/orange hue in our Spring skies.

A recent study conducted by cognitive scientist Ch A recent study conducted by cognitive scientist Charley Wu and his team, showed that video games can teach us things about how people learn. This specific study was done in the game Minecraft, but learning in videogames happens more than you'd think!

In the study, Wu's team watched as players would make decisions based off of other players' actions. An example of this, is exploring a part of the map after seeing another player come back with valuable items from that spot. This is social learning. On the other hand, they saw players take actions on their own accord, leading them to find out for themselves if this action was for better or worse. This is individual learning.

Although one is just looking through a screen, video games can help teach problem solving, goal setting, and increase motivation as well as creativity. They can also be a source for social interaction due to playing online with others. Not every game is good for learning, but the exploration and experimentation aspects could boost cognitive development when played in moderation.
