Young adults have been sharing their skincare rout

Young adults have been sharing their skincare routines online, and they have become increasingly extravagant. A recent study done by healthcare researcher Tara Lagu and dermatologist Molly Hales showed that these routines are more harmful than helpful.

Spread across TikTok, skincare now consists of multiple steps and expensive products, which cause risk of sun sensitivity, irritation, and skin allergy. This is due to the fragrance, or alpha-hydroxy acids, which can be harmful to the skin when layered. Most of these popular products weren't designed for young skin, which is only causing damage.

According to Hales, only sunscreen is needed for normal, young skin. Acne can be treated by visiting the pediatrician or dermatologist.

This photo shows General Electric's "O-Man". It was the world's most powerful mechanical arm. It was designed to allow for remote assembly in atomic energy work. It's chief job was to pick up heavy parts, position them, and fasten them into place. It could lift over 5000 pounds, drill holes, hammer, twist an iron bar into a corkscrew, and bake a cake!
