Arthur Jones Legacy Society
Arthur L. Jones established what he called a “concrete encyclopedia” in his classroom in the Brandywine School in 1934. His desire was to bring “real stuff” to help educate his students, thus the Schenectady Museum Association was born. Through the seed of a dream of a teacher, we now have a Museum with the only Planetarium in the region, we have programs giving back to the schools, and we are giving kids the “real stuff” through our immersive STEAM education.
We want to ensure his legacy, lives on. A gift to miSci can be as easy as naming the Museum as a beneficiary on your estate or retirement plans. Your gift goes directly toward the MiSci endowment fund as a way for us to ensure the future of STEAM education for centuries to come.
A bequest, unless otherwise written, will go directly to the miSci Endowment Fund. Anyone who gives any amount is considered a member of the Arthur Jones Legacy Society and will be memorialized on our website. Please leave a note of why you chose miSci so we can encourage more citizen scientists to support the Museum. Anonymous gifts are always appreciated!
