Grades K-2 | Mystery Solvers

Become a crime solver! Learn about fingerprint patterns, discover a mysterious substance, experiment with colorful clues, and crack a code! 

Grades 3-5 | Crime Lab Science
Put your detective skills to work to solve a crime, complete a scavenger hunt, and use forensic science! Investigate the technology of forensic science with fingerprinting, chromatography, DNA, and code breaking. 

Grades 6-8 | Innovations in Technology and Engineering
Students will learn about invention, design and entrepreneurship working with SUNY SCCC, miSci, educators from Schodack School District at the Center for Advanced Technology at Mohonasen, and manufacturers at STS Steel and Package One.  Throughout the week, students will tour modern manufacturing facilities. Students will also have the opportunity to use CAD software to create their own keychain, 3D print their own model, and submit inventions to the miSci Invention Convention. No experience necessary.

Grades K-2 | Space Academy: Crater Kids
Embark on a journey of a lifetime! Students will prepare for a trip to the moon by learning about and building rockets. Once on the moon, students complete mission-critical experiments before traveling back to Earth. End the week with a Cosmic Kids mission in the Challenger Learning Center.

Grades 3-5 | Space Academy: Comet Mystery
Explore interactive activities related to astronomy and space exploration with a focus on some of the smaller bodies in our solar system—COMETS. End the week with an Exploration Station mission in the Challenger Learning Center.

Grades 3-5 | LEGO Robotics
Build and program cool robots with LEGO’s Mindstorm EV 3 kits as your work in a team. Learn about coding through Little Bits and Makey Makeys. No experience necessary.
