Weekend Workshop- Steam Engine Science

December 9 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm EST

Did you know that the first commercial steam engine was built in 1698, but prototypes have been found as far back as the year 100? Steam has been powering the world ever since, having their heyday in the mid-1800s and 1900s as steam locomotives and steam engines covered the world. See an early steam engine, an aeolipile, in action and learn what makes these engines work!

Programs are held at 2 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. and last about 30 minutes. Tickets are available at the front desk.
