Little Edisons: Shadows, Everyone Has One

We’ll learn all about shadows along with Moonbear. We’ll read the delightful Moonbear’s Shadow by Frank Asch and watch as the little bear tries to escape his shadow, but learns that he can’t! Then we break out the flashlights and look at our own shadows. What makes them shorter? Longer? We act out Moonbear’s story and learn that the position of the sun overhead is what determines our shadows. Finally, we create a shadow using light and trace it.
