Eclipse Ambassador Workshop for Teachers

Engage your students in the wonder of this rare and beautiful event! Join’s miSci’s Astronomy Educator and Planetarium Manager, Kerry Lewis, as she offers a workshop for teachers complete with lessons and resources to use in your K-12 classroom.

Topics introduced in this program will include:

  • Eclipse Fundamentals: The science of how eclipses work
  • History of Eclipse Viewing
  • Hands-on eclipse activities to do with your students
  • Resources to deepen learning and engagement with the eclipse
  • How to safely view an eclipse
  • Next Generation STEM Standard-based content

Registered participants will have access to a set of digital resources after the close of the workshop and be eligible for 10% off the purchase of 2024 Eclipse Viewing glasses through miSci. Digital resources include:

This workshop will be delivered live and synchronous with opportunities for participant feedback and engagement. This workshop is intended for K-12 classroom teachers, with most activities applicable for up to grade 8.

This 1-Session class will be offered on the following dates:
