Little Wonders of Science: The Sun is My Favorite Star @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am
Introduce children ages 3 to 5 to science with The Sun is My Favorite Star by Frank Asch followed by some hands-on activities.
Little Wonders of Science inspires curiosity through stories, play, and special hands-on activities specifically created for children ages 3-5. Held on the third Friday and Saturday morning of every month, the Little Wonders of Science program introduces new STEM topics monthly.
Come early for a special 10 am showing in miSci's planetarium of "One World, One Sky" (additional $5/ person), and leave with the materials to continue the study of science at home.
Cost: Admission + $2 supply fee

Octagon Barn Star Party and Lecture: Star Formation in Galaxy Groups and Clusters (Presented by the Dudley Observatory) @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Join the Dudley Observatory and the Albany Area Amateur Astronomers for an astronomy lesson and dark sky observing at the Octagon Barn in Delanson, NY! Programs include a 1 hour talk by local astronomy enthusiasts, followed by night sky observing if the weather is clear. Amateur astronomers and families are invited to bring binoculars or telescopes. Telescopes will also be set up for public use. Great for older children and adults!
This month, Dr. Rebecca Koopman of Union College will discuss Star formation in galaxy groups and clusters.
